Our story

For most people, the sound of a doorbell, a baby’s cry, or a barking dog is just part of everyday life. For millions living with hearing loss, these sounds are often missed — replaced by uncertainty, stress, and a constant feeling of disconnection.

Diana Legūss knows this reality better than most. With 37 years of personal experience living with hearing challenges, she has seen first-hand how isolating and exhausting it can be. She has also spent 16 years working with hearing aids and assistive devices, listening to thousands of stories from people navigating a world that isn’t designed for them. From countless conversations one thing became clear — existing solutions are often a “suitcase full of devices” that are expensive, complicated, and still fall short.

Determined to change that, Diana dedicated 2 years to developing a smarter, simpler way to bring awareness back to those who need it most. After more than 30 in-depth interviews with people living with hearing impairments and with support from social security experts, Soundfr was born — a single, AI-powered device that listens for the sounds that matter and delivers instant notifications to a phone or smartwatch.
